ターミナルの見た目を変更する場合

powerline-shellの実装

pip install powerline-shell

下記を~/.bashrcに追加

function _update_ps1() {
    PS1=$(powerline-shell $?)
}
if [[ $TERM != linux && ! $PROMPT_COMMAND =~ _update_ps1 ]]; then
    PROMPT_COMMAND="_update_ps1; $PROMPT_COMMAND"
fi

これだけではフォント不足で表示されないので下記のコマンドを実行

sudo apt-get install fonts-powerline

vscodeの表示がおかしいままなので，以下のサイト通りに設定を変更する．↓

これによってターミナルがpowerline-shellの表示となる．

環境変数PS1を編集する場合

ターミナルの表示を細かく変更する場合の編集方法

shellのはじめに改行を加えるだけの場合↓

if [ "$color_prompt" = yes ]; then
    # PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\[\033[01;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[00m\]:\[\033[01;34m\]\w\[\033[00m\]\$ '
    PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\[\033[01;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[00m\]:\[\033[01;34m\]\w\[\033[00m\]\n\$ '
else
    PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\u@\h:\w\$ '
fi

shellのはじめの改行＋gitのブランチの表示をしたい場合↓

    # PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\[\033[01;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[00m\]:\[\033[01;34m\]\w\[\033[00m\]\$ '

else
